چکیده
Injectable hydrogels as an important class of biomaterials have gained much attention in tissue engineering. However, their crosslinking degree is difficult to be controlled after being injected into body. As we all know, the strongly influences physicochemical properties hydrogels. Therefore, developing injectable hydrogel with tunable vivo for Herein, present a dual strategy prepare step-by-step using Schiff base reaction and photopolymerization. The developed hyaluronic acid/poly(?-glutamic acid) (HA/?-PGA) exhibit swelling behavior, enzymatic degradation behavior mechanical properties. Mechanical performance tests show that storage moduli HA/?-PGA are less than 2000 Pa compressive kilopascal, which good match soft tissue. In addition, NIH 3T3 cells encapsulated high cell viability, indicating cytocompatibility hydrogel. biomaterial has potential

Injectable hyaluronic-acid-doxycycline hydrogel therapy in experimental rabbit osteoarthritis
BACKGROUND Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common joint disease that causes disabilities in elderly adults. However, few long-lasting pharmacotherapeutic agents with low side effects have been developed to treat OA. We evaluated the therapeutic effects of intra-articular injections of hydrogels containing hyaluronic acid (HA) and doxycycline (DOX) in a rabbit OA model. RESULTS Thirteen week old New ...
متن کاملHydrogel design for cartilage tissue engineering: a case study with hyaluronic acid.
Hyaline cartilage serves as a low-friction and wear-resistant articulating surface in load-bearing, diarthrodial joints. Unfortunately, as the avascular, alymphatic nature of cartilage significantly impedes the body's natural ability to regenerate, damage resulting from trauma and osteoarthritis necessitates repair attempts. Current clinical methods are generally limited in their ability to reg...
متن کاملSafety data of injectable nonanimal stabilized hyaluronic acid gel for soft tissue augmentation.
BACKGROUND Nonanimal hyaluronic acid gel was recently developed for soft tissue augmentation and volume expansion and has been shown to offer several advantages in comparison to other augmentation materials. There are rare reports of adverse events believed to be secondary to trace amounts of proteins in the hyaluronic acid raw material. OBJECTIVE To determine the safety profile of nonanimal ...
متن کاملCardiac Extracellular Matrix-Fibrin Hydrogel Scaffolds with Tunable Properties for Cardiac Tissue Engineering
Introduction: Heart disease is currently the leading cause of death worldwide [1]. The majority of available therapies are geared toward slowing down the progression of heart disease and not toward restoring the contractile function of the affected tissues [2]. Extracellular matrix (ECM) obtained from decellularized cardiac tissue is a promising scaffold material that can be utilized to repair ...
متن کاملTunable Growth Factor Delivery from Injectable Hydrogels for Tissue Engineering
Current sustained delivery strategies of protein therapeutics are limited by the fragility of the protein, resulting in minimal quantities of bioactive protein delivered. In order to achieve prolonged release of bioactive protein, an affinity-based approach was designed which exploits the specific binding of the Src homology 3 (SH3) domain with short proline-rich peptides. Specifically, methyl ...
